Obituary
BORG. On May 4, MICHAEL A., aged 79, went to his true home, where the Lord will wipe away our every tear. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maphine née Storace Rutter and the children of his late wife Josephine née Muscat, Albert and his wife Marguerite, their children Martha and Samuel, Louis and his wife Annette, their children Thomas, Bernd and Michael, Adrian and his wife Carmen, their children Jessica, Anthony and Gabriel, Mary Anne and her son Wayne, his in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The Sacrament of Mass will be offered today at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibrag, Swieqi, at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. The family wish to express their heart felt gratitude for all the care and dedication of the staff at the ITU Department, St Luke's Hospital.
FARRUGIA - MARY née Galea of Sliema, widow of Joseph, aged 90, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her daughter Josette, her son Patrick and his wife Miriam, Brigid and her only grandson Kurt, her brothers John and his wife Rae of Florida, USA, Frank and his wife Josephine, Carmelo Mifsud, widower of her sister Josephine, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
FERRO. On May 3, at St Luke's Hospital, FORTUNATO of Paola, aged 69, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Theresa, his children Anita and her husband Arthur, Yvette and her husband Raymond, his grandchildren Jessica, Alison, Anthea, Juan, Michela, other relatives and friends, including the committee and members of the Societa Filarmonica De Paule, Band Kristu Re, Paola. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The De Paule Band will accompany the funeral.
GRIXTI. On May 3, JOSEPH, aged 69, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Connie, his children Ruth and boyfriend Graham, Duncan and his wife Odette, his granddaughter Riona, in-laws and their families, his aunt and cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 12.45 p.m. for St Paul's church, Birkirkara from where the funeral will proceed to St Helen's Basilica where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Grateful thanks to the staff at S3, St Luke's Hospital, who were of great support. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
TESTA. On May 2, ALFRED VINCENT, formerly of Valletta, aged 73, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Grace née Cachia, his brother-in-law Michael Grech, his wife's brothers and sisters and their respective families, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

Medical Hypnosis Meeting
The German Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis recently held its 14th meeting in Malta at Barceló Riviera Resort & Spa, Marfa.
Since 1993 a group of medical and dental doctors specialising in hypnosis have held their annual European meeting in Malta, formerly using the L-Imgarr Hotel in Gozo.
School Musical
Students at St Monica School in Gzira will present the musical The Wiz at the school today and tomorrow at 6.30 p.m.
The Wiz is the Super Soul Musical by Charlie Smalls, guaranteed to be a very enjoyable experience.

Innovative Teachers
More than 70 teachers from across Europe convened in Estonia last month to share ideas, methods and tools that can help educators stay ahead in societies that are being increasingly shaped by new technology.
Malta was represented by Joseph Vella, Godwin Zammit and Emmanuel Zammit from the Education Division and Joanna Azzopardi from the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Information Technology.
The forum featured presentations on recent education-related research in Europe and provided opportunities for networking and sharing best practices.
The event concluded with the Innovative Teacher 2006 Awards given to six teachers who presented the most exceptional cases of innovation in the classroom.

Band Club's Exhibition
The La Vittoria Band Club of Mellieha will hold a contemporary sculpture and painting exhibition at the 8th September Hall of the club from May 13 to 28 as part of a programme of activities to commemorate the 100 years since the formation of the club in 1907.
The motto for these celebrations is Hundred Years Young (Mitt Sena Zaghzugha).
The exhibition is a collective effort by the two young artists Antoine Farrugia and Wojtek Brockdorff. It will open from Monday to Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 9 p.m.
Band Concert
The culture commission of the Fra Antoine de Paule Philharmonic Society of Paola will present a concert by the Christ the King Band at the society's hall in Antoine de Paule Square, Paola on May 14 at 7.30 p.m. on the occasion of Mother's Day.
The band will be under the direction of Archibald Mizzi and will render works by Willy Hauvast, Dizzy Stratford, Rocco Cristiano, Richard Rodgers, Johann Strauss, Sebastian Yradier, Jacob de Haan and C.S. Bixio.
Singers Marvi Monreal and Analise Busuttil Azzopardi will take part in the concert. Entrance is free.

Air Malta Head Office
The entrance to Air Malta's head office will be temporarily moved as from tomorrow in view of the road works underway at Civil Aviation Avenue, in Luqa.
Access will be from the Armed Forces of Malta's head offices in Luqa situated next to the old airport terminal. This arrangement will be in place until works are completed in front of the airline's offices.
The public is encouraged to follow the signs. ID cards must be shown at the Armed Forces gate at all times.
Air Malta said it regrets any inconvenience caused to its clients due to circumstances beyond its control.
Scale Models
The Society For Scale Modellers, a member of The International Plastic Modelling Society in the United Kingdom, will hold its annual exhibition at Vault 14, Valletta Waterfront, Pinto Wharf, between May 13 and May 20 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and May 21 until 4 p.m.
The exhibition will include scale models of aircraft, ships, cars, motorcycles, armoured fighting vehicles and figurines among others. There will also be a flying display at the Hal Far Flying Models Club.
Everyone is invited.
