Barclay's Cup final on Saturday at Tedesco Stadium

The MRFU 2005/06 Barclay's Cup final will be played on Saturday at the Tedesco Stadium, Hamrun, between Kavallieri Blue Label and TGIFriday's Stompers.

Stompers have already won two honours this season, the Ray Elliott Cup and the Cisk Lager League.

However, the change of venue may well suit Kavallieri as the ground is more compact than Marsa and will not give the quick Stompers backs nearly as much room to run.

On the other hand, the tough, close driving and mauling tactics of Kavallieri are likely to be better exploited at the Tedesco Stadium.

Meanwhile, Director of Rugby and national team coach, Damien Neill, will present no fewer that 75 Mal-Tag coaching certificates to those who qualified under the instruction and teaching of the Malta Rugby Football Union.

The presentation today is another step forward in the long-term policy plan created by Neill and implemented by Development Officer Don Hewer, Robert Portelli, Esther Farrugia, Dave Cutajar and others at junior level.

Mal-Tag, a non-contact skills game, is the first step in the 'Rugby Pathway' which brings children to understand and finally play the fastest growing sport in the world.
