Pharmacist Dante Bonnici was presented with a medal for services rendered to the pharmacy profession during the closing ceremony of the annual pharmacy symposium, held last month.

Mr Bonnici reached the venerable age of a hundred and for a long time has served the patients at his pharmacy in Zebbug. During this period he has tutored at his pharmacy a number of pharmacy students in the science and art of the pharmacy profession.

Present for the ceremony was also his son Michael Bonnici, who addressed the audience on his own experience at the pharmacy under the management of his father.

Health Minister Louis Deguara presented Dante Bonnici with the certificate commemorating the occasion. The medal was presented by Professor Anthony Serracino-Inglott, head of the Department of Pharmacy.
