Further to my letter about access to il-Munxar (The Sunday Times, April 16), I would like to thank Marsascala mayor Mario Calleja and MEPA who, together with Mr Rene Scicluna, have resolved the issue and have reinstated the passageway leading to this unique site. Good council has prevailed, to the right of the hundreds of people who go there to enjoy countryside walks and the warm summer days on the rocky shoreline. It has to be hoped that any possible development will be in harmony with nature and with our unconditional right to enjoy the foreshore.
