Simar Nature Reserve in Xemxija will have extended opening hours tomorrow, following the success of BirdLife's family day on Easter Monday at the Ghadira Nature Reserve.
The reserve, which forms part of the Pwales Valley, will open between 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. and walks with BirdLife volunteers will also be organised every 45 minutes, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 3.15 p.m.
The reserve was first opened to the public last November, after works on the construction of the reception centre were finalised with the help of APS Bank, the Malta Tourism Authority and Unesco.
To date, over 180 species have been recorded in the reserve and new species, including the Little Bittern, Moorhen, and Reed Warbler have started breeding there.
Entrance is free and no booking is necessary.
