Danger on wheels
A wooden beam and other blocks of wood, all apparently unsecured, can be seen on this trailer as it travels from Naxxar to Salina. Last April, a police inspector was seriously injured when 50 steel rods fell off a truck and landed on an unmarked police car behind the vehicle. The truck driver was found guilty of negligence but the inspector, who still sports a 5.5 cm scar on his head, was only offered minor compensation by the truck's insurance company.
