I refer to the report Fine Weather Adds To Easter Joy (April 17) for the sake of correctness and precision of facts and history.

It is correct to say that Captain Celestino Sacco bought and brought over to Malta, from Spain, the statue of the risen Christ, still venerated to this day. Celestino Sacco donated the statue to the Archonfraternity of the Crucifix of Cospicua in 1741 and not to that of Vittoriosa as stated in the report. This statue is venerated in the parish church of Cospicua.

For further information the silver decorations of the statue were designed by my late uncle Abram Gatt (1864-1944) in about 1926.
