The access to Munxar is blocked again - this time not with building stones but with rubble stones and people who are not familiar to the area will certainly back off.

Letter after letter has been written and the Ministry of Environment and Rural Affairs does not seem to notice and there has been absolute silence from MEPA and the Lands Department.

Meanwhile people are being hindered from entering the Munxar area.

Who and what is stopping the authorities from coming up with an adequate solution? The law is clear about access to shores, bays and cliffs. So what's different about the Munxar area?

If quail and pheasant hunting is going on illegally, it should be stopped immediately; if it is legal, then I question the authorities who issued the permit. What kind of protection are the people frequenting the area given? People who use the area generally use only the pathway which leads to the shores, beaches and the cliffs.

People legally have the right to access all the shoreline and beaches in the area but how can the public enter the area with pellets flying in all directions and with red flags showing danger? While shooting takes place people are forced to abandon the area and even in another nearby public passage which leads from St Thomas Bay to Xrobb l-Ghagin people are in great danger.

These are jungle rules of might is right and should be strongly condemned.
