PILLING. On April 21, at St Luke's Hospital, GLADYS née Busuttil, aged 71, passed peacefully away after a short illness comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her only son Ray Zerafa, her grandchildren Leah and her husband Brandon of USA and Sam, her brothers and sisters Nanette widow of Frank, Joseph, Teresa widow of Louis, Anthony and his wife Maryanne, Marlene and her husband Lino Scicluna, Margaret and her husband Joseph Wismayer and Charles and his wife Wendy, and her many nephews and nieces, aunt Rose Darmenia, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Julians parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On April 16, in Sicily, Dr MARCEL Zammit, aged 57, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his wife Isabella, his daughter Maria, his brothers Tony and Robert and his wife Mary, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 10 a.m. at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel followed by private burial. May God grant him eternal rest.

Budding Dancers

SkolaSport, the government sports programme for schoolchildren, has attracted more than 25 new participants following its recent addition of courses in modern dance.

The sessions, which take place every Wednesday evening at the Cottonera Sports Complex, are led by Nadine Giles, a jazz dancer and member of the Yada Dance Company.

SkolaSport, which is being sponsored by Kellogg's for the seventh year in a row, introduced training in modern dance two years ago. The participants are currently preparing a dance sequence to present during the SkolaSport Manifestation Day in May for their parents and friends.

Mcdonald's Recruitment

McDonald's Malta will be2 engaging over 250 crew members during this year's annual summer recruitment drive. All interested applicants are invited to present themselves at the Radisson SAS Baypoint in St Julians today between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. where interviews will be held.

Applicants wishing to work at McDonald's Gozo are kindly asked to visit McDonald's Gozo in the Arkadia Complex at any time on the same day.

During this year's recruitment drive, McDonald's will be looking to employ individuals who are 16 years of age and over, and who enjoy working in a team while delivering a fast, accurate and friendly service.

Applicants' date of birth must be before September 15, 1989 and they must be registered food handlers (licence Category B) or must be willing to register for the course with the ETC prior to commencing their employment.

McDonald's Malta has eight restaurants in Malta and Gozo serving 14,000 customers daily.

Road Closed

Mrabat Street from corner with Rudolph Street up to corner with Ballut Street, in Sliema, will be closed to vehicular traffic today from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Traffic from Rue D'Argens towards Mrabat Street is being diverted to Rudolph Street. Traffic from Birkirkara Street towards Savoy is being diverted to Telghet San Giljan.

Route bus 41 travelling to San Gwann is being diverted from Rue D'Argens to Reggie Miller Street to Regjonali to Naxxar to Birkirkara streets.

Route bus 42 going to Ta' Giorni is being diverted from Rue D'Argens to Reggie Miller to Regjonali to Naxxar to Birkirkara streets.

Both bus routes heading for Valletta will be diverted from Birkirkara to Naxxar to Regjonali to Reggie Miller streets to Rue D'Argens.

Back from the 1980s

Rifffs are making a comeback after a break of 24 years, playing live at the Reflex 80s party weekend at Tattingers on April 29 and 30 at midnight. DJ Alex Grech will be playing classic 1980s pop, rock, ska and new romantic hits at both parties and at the stroke of midnight the Rifffs will go on stage to perform their sets including Dance Music For The 80s' Depression and other unreleased material.

Mdina Parking

Access to Mdina and parking within the city, namely in San Publiju, Tal-Katedral, San Pawl and Tas-Sur squares and in Villegaignon and L-Imhazen streets will not be permitted today between 6 a.m. and midnight.

Parking outside the main entrance to Mdina, in front of the swings, is being reserved for Mdina residents only and cannot be used by visitors.
