I refer to letters by Anglu Farrugia (March 28) and by Leonard and Pierre Desira (April 13) regarding the Osiris establishment in Marsascala and police action against this establishment. It was also alleged that the police are failing to take action against other clubs.

Contrary to what was alleged in the letters, the police effect inspections in all places of entertainment in Marsascala, as well as in all other localities, especially during the weekends. This can be confirmed by the charges issued against three other establishments in the same area during the same weekend. Incidentally, Messrs Desira will be able to confirm this during the forthcoming Divisional Court sitting.

When the police inspector ordered the closure of the Osiris, he was completely within the parametres of the law.
