I was surprised to read that Sonia Camilleri, the Children's Commissioner, has introduced a game to teach children in primary schools their rights.

To bear more fruit, these should rather be taught to parents. At such a tender age, it would have been more beneficial to the children and the whole of Malta if the game was about children's duties.

I am sure it is much easier to learn rights and their use than to learn duties and practise them.

Recent experiences are proof enough.
