A Marsascala man was yesterday charged with assaulting his father and brother who were charged with beating him and seriously injuring him on Good Friday.
George Mifsud Bonnici, 27, pleaded not guilty to assaulting his father Benjamin, 56, and his brother Stephen, 21, with hard objects last Friday.
He was also charged with biting his father's hand, damaging his brother's car and his parent's residence and with threatening to kill his brother.
He also pleaded not guilty to assaulting his brother and holding him against his will last September and to the possession of a firearm.
In a separate arraignment, Benjamin Mifsud Bonnici and his son Stephen pleaded not guilty to beating and seriously injuring George Mifsud Bonnici, on Good Friday in their hometown.
Stephen Mifsud Bonnici pleaded not guilty to threatening his brother with a metal pipe, stealing the battery of his brother's car, driving dangerously and speeding.
The three men were remanded in custody.
Police Inspector Anthony Cassar prosecuted.
Lawyers Joseph Bonnici and Emmanuel Mallia appeared for the accused.
