I refer to the news that the Lands Department has no funds available for expropriations made prior to 1993 and find this extremely disturbing.

Are such victims to understand that claims pertaining to this unfortunate period have no chance of being settled by the department?

If anything, expropriations prior to 1993 should have precedence over those post 1993! What kind of justice is this?

I think it is imperative that this worrisome state of affairs be clarified as soon as possible.

An explanation is definitely expected from the Lands Department.
