Gordon Strachan has been voted manager of the year by the Scottish Football Writers' Association, in his first season at Celtic.

He steered the Glasgow club to the Premier League title and League Cup after replacing Martin O'Neill in the close season.

Strachan narrowly beat Jim Jefferies of Kilmarnock, who are currently fifth in the league.

The player of the year will be named tomorrow.
