A 32-year-old man has been charged with defiling a 13-year-old girl whom he met over the internet.

The man, of Lija, pleaded not guilty to defiling the teenager on and before March 24 and relapsing.

He was remanded in custody.

Magistrate Joseph Cassar banned the publication of the name of the accused.

Police Inspector Sharon Tanti prosecuted.
