Maltese cat owners will get the chance to have their pets judged by international experts at the first international cat show to be held on April 30.

The Malta Feline Guardians Club, which will hold the show at the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa, Ghajn Tuffieha, is calling on anyone who wishes to take part to register before Sunday.

A judge from Italy and another from Spain will judge several categories and all the trophies are being brought over from Italy.

Those who attend can vote for their favourite cat overall and the best decorated cage. They will also be given a voucher from one of the sponsors for a chance to win Lm120 worth of prizes every hour.

To promote the show and create an awareness about caring for pets, the club will have a stand at the Green Week Fair being held next week. It will also hold a small cat exhibition on April 20 and 21 at the fair.

The cat show, sponsored by Micabliss Persians, will run between 11 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. It is also supported by Eukanuba, Greenview (Tidy Cat), Crystal Pearls Litter, Eurosport and 22pm.
