HMS Gloucester to visit

HMS Gloucester will be in Malta on a routine visit from today until Thursday.

Captained by Commander Mike Paterson, HMS Gloucester is a Type 42 Destroyer. She is 141 metres long and displaces 4,675 tonnes. She has a complement of 26 officers and a total ship's company of 301.

Although not open to the public during her stay, HMS Gloucester will be hosting 30 sea cadets from the Maritime Institute for a brief tour.
