The Eures Office of the Employment and Training Corporation has just held a job fair on employment opportunities in continental Europe.

The European Employment Services (Eures) is a cooperation network designed to facilitate the free movement of workers in Europe. The ETC is a partner in this network.

The fair was part of the activities organised by the ETC in 2006, being the European Year for Workers' Mobility.

Eures advisors from Italy, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Finland and Norway participated in the event at the Le Meridien Phoenicia Hotel.

The Eures Office in Malta, set up in May 2004, has so far assisted more than 5,000 persons who were interested in working in a European country.
