Arsene Wenger is still haunted by Arsenal's controversial defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford last season. Arsenal travel to Old Trafford today hoping for revenge for United's 2-0 win in October 2004 that stopped the London side stretching their run of unbeaten league games to 50.
"It was difficult to take because it stopped the run," manager Wenger told reporters. "The way it happened was difficult to take, I still feel like that.
"It will remain certainly for a long, long, time. It will certainly be an interesting game but all the rest is down to the referee."
Wayne Rooney won a hotly-contested penalty in 2004 and the animosity between the players spilled over in the tunnel after the game in an infamous pizza-throwing incident.
Today, Arsenal will play their attacking 4-4-2 formation, not the 4-5-1 that brought them success against Juventus and Real Madrid.
"I believe we will play with two strikers because it is a game we want to win," Wenger said.
