Citroën, represented locally by Muscats Motors of Rue D'Argens, Gzira, launched the C1 at the Malta Motor Fair that ended last Sunday. This complements the full range of C2, C3, C3 Pluriel, C4, C5, Xsara Picasso and the Berlingo Van.

The C1, designed to carry four people sets high standards in quality and road holding, without compromising on safety, making it an attractive and compact car. The C1 has received four stars in EuroNCAP crash tests, excellent results similar to those achieved by the C2, C3 and C3 Pluriel.

It is equipped with ventilated disc brakes at the front, ABS Cornering Stability Control (CSC) and driver and passenger airbags as standard. The low fuel consumption engines available are the 1.0i, 68 bhp petrol and a 54 bhp HDi diesel engine. These come with a choice of manual or automated (SensoDrive) gearbox, and two levels of trim. This supermini is available with three or five doors.
