Fun Day at San Andrea School

Last Sunday a new project was launched at San Andrea School, Imselliet, l/o Mgarr: a Fun Day for families in aid of the children under the care of the Ursuline Sisters at St Rita Home, Tarxien.

Ther school's sports department organised a car wash and various fun games and sports activities for all ages; various stands (books, clothes, toys, household goods, plants) were put up; healthy food and a variety of sweets were prepared for all guests; there was even a hairdresser cutting hair for charity. At midday Fr Jimmy Bonnici celebrated Mass.

Obviously the Ursuline Sisters and the children were the school's guests. It was a very fruitful experience. The Fun Day managed to raise over Lm600.

The organisers of the event - Johann Bellizzi, Peter Pace O'Shea and Mark Sciberras - would like to thank all teachers, parents and students who worked hard and contributed to make this project a success.
