The first phase of the Kinnie League will be completed tomorrow when the last two matches of the regular season are played.

Depiro Kyocera face BUPA Luxol in the opening match while Hamrun Go Mobile take on Pembroke.

The remaining berth in the play-offs was decided this week when Siggiewi booked the fourth spot after completing their commitments with a 70-63 win over Depiro Kyocera.

Siggiewi will now play champions Hamrun in the semi-finals.

Depiro's ambitions of figuring in the last four were shattered on Thursday night, making the match against Luxol tomorrow a training drill for the two teams.

Luxol came a cropper in the two-legged Louis Borg Cup final against Pembroke last week but they beat Hamrun 80-63 on Thursday to consolidate their third position in the standings.

In the Kinnie League semi-finals Luxol will face up to Pembroke once again.

Tomorrow, Hamrun, already sure of the first place, will be looking to chalk up a hat-trick of wins over Pembroke in the league this season.

Current standings

Hamrun 20 (9-2); Pembroke 18 (7-4); Luxol 17 (6-5); Siggiewi 16 (4-8); Depiro 13 (2-9).

Women's MBA Shield

Competitions for women resume today after a rather long break for participation in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

The opening matches from the MBA Shield will be played.

Kerygma start favourites against SN Suns while new league champions Hibs Medsea look strong enough to eliminate Loyola.
