Bar employee accused of alcohol theft

A Balzan bar employee has been charged with stealing over Lm1,000 worth of alcohol from his work place.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti heard Melchior Bonnici, 24, of Birkirkara plead not guilt to stealing the alcohol from Melita Bar and handling the stolen drinks and a television set on and before January 2003.

Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
