Malta 'A' will take on Amsterdam RFC in a friendly match on Saturday at Marsa.

So far, the Maltese selection has enjoyed an undefeated run of six matches and is currently unbeaten at home and away.

Several players are now available or have recovered from injuries. There has been a very strong turnout for the last training sessions with 28 players contesting the 22 slots available for this match.

Saturday's match is also the last one for seven Malta 'A' players to leave a good impression on national coach Damian Neill before the training camp ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Croatia on April 15 at the Hibs Ground.

The Malta 'A' side has become an exciting prospect for local players since the team is now playing at high levels as illustrated by the match against Accademia Roma this year.

The effort put in by some of the players on that particular tour has earned them a call-up to the national squad. This highlights the MRFU's commitment to give its upcoming players full exposure to the international game before promotion to the national team.
