New head at Catholic Action

Joyce Pullicino has been appointed president general of the Malta Catholic Action for a period of three years.

Her appointment was announced through a decree signed by Archbishop Mgr Joseph Mercieca on behalf of the Episcopal Conference of Malta.

She succeeds Ninette Borg Grech who headed the Catholic Action for two consecutive terms, the maximum allowed according to the Catholic Action statute.

Ms Pullicino is a lifelong member of Catholic Action. She has already performed the duty of president general for one term, between 1994 and 1998 and has been chairing the Catholic Action board of management of the Holy Family Home for the Elderly at Naxxar for the last 12 years.
