My wife and I recently returned from our first holiday in Malta which was totally marred by the unwelcome attention of the large number of timeshare touts in our resort of Bugibba/Qawra.

As we took a stroll through the resort we were approached six times in less than two hours. Talking to an elderly gentleman who had been coming to the island for 15 years, he said the island's tourism was dying. I feel the timeshare operation is part of the problem.
