\nPembroke win 154-121 on aggregate
Pembroke made sure of keeping a perfect record in the Louis Borg Cup final after securing a clear aggregate win following yesterday's second leg against BUPA Luxol.
Pembroke have now won the title for a second successive year and four in all. Each time they qualified for the final, Pembroke finished as winners.
Luxol were expected to make a strong start to cancel the 10-point deficit of the first leg on Friday (79-69).
They looked aggressive at first but Pembroke soon settled down on court. With Etienne Mercieca in fine form, Joe Galea's men led 32-27 at half-time.
There was no looking back for Pembroke after the break as Luxol were struggling against their opponents' 2-1-2 zone tactics.
Pembroke opened a 50-35 lead before the last session started. That was too much for Luxol who will now concentrate on the Kinnie League to make up for this upset.
At the end of the match, former MBA president Louis Borg presented the cup to winners Pembroke.
