Former heptathlon world champion Eunice Barber has lodged a complaint to a criminal court for alleged brutality and threats following her controversial arrest earlier this month, the Frenchwoman's lawyer said. Emmanuel Daoud said he was also officially complaining that a police officer committed a breach of confidence when he told journalists the Sierra-Leone born athlete had been arrested. "A report said at the time, 'A police source said Barber has been arrested', which breaches the confidentiality of the investigation and that is a violation of the law," added Daoud.
