Local wardens' fines

I would like to express my disgust at the manner in which the local wardens are dishing out fines.

I have just received the second fine that I should have never got. The first was about a year ago and it claimed that my wife's car (registered on my name) was parked on the pavement in Balzan at 5.30 in the morning.

That vehicle was nowhere near Balzan at the time. I went to the tribunal to fight the fine but had to remain there for three hours before the hearing was deferred.

Not wanting to waste any more of my time, I paid the fine. I have now received another ticket which states that, while in Sliema, I was using headphones. Most new cars today come with a good audio system.

Why would I be wearing headphones? And as a rule I do not use my mobile phone when driving. I will pay the fine again because I have no time to waste and it would be in vain to go to the tribunal because it would only be my word against the warden's.
