Debit card thief jailed

A Naxxar man was yesterday jailed for two years after he admitted to stealing two debit cards and making use of them earlier on this month.

Michael Chircop, 44, also pleaded guilty to being a relapser.

Magistrate Joseph Cassar jailed him for two years and ordered that the time spent in preventive custody be deducted from his jail term.

Police Inspector Victor Aquilina prosecuted.
