Japan swimmer dies at China training camp

Japanese swimmer Takehiro Miyajima collapsed and died last weekend during high-altitude training in China, Japanese officials said yesterday.

Long-distance specialist Miyajima, 20, suffered a convulsion in Kunming on Saturday and died in hospital later in the day.

The cause of death was not immediately known.
