Mount St Joseph hosts St Joseph JL

ON MARCH 6, staff from St Joseph Junior Lyceum, Paola, spent a day at Mount St Joseph for their Staff Development Plan (SDP) session.

Mr Colin Calleja from the University of Malta lectured about the Let me Learn learning process, where he explained the four learning patterns of sequential, precise, technical and confluent, which determine how teachers learn and teach and how students learn.

Mr Godfrey J. Bonello, head of school, then outlined the themes to be discussed by the various workshop groups and teacher representatives. Some departments also gave a resumé of work related to the SDP done throughout the academic year and highlighted the work planned for the coming months.

Teachers then talked shop in a more relaxed way over lunch.

The day ended with a final discussion and evaluation in seven workshop groups.
