First of all I wish to thank you for the valuable service you are giving us consumers. Your column is the second thing I read after the headlines. Well done and thank you.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank the people of Aplan, particularly two technicians - Noel and Paul. I purchased a tumble dryer a year ago and, in November it developed a fault. I phoned up the customer service centre and within a few days the fault was repaired.
Last week, this same machine developed a different fault. Within two days, these same two technicians turned up to replace the faulty part. Not only were they very courteous and efficient, but they also provided me with an excellent service in that they informed me of their arrival at my place of work. Thank you very much guys.
At last, I have found a company which offers a decent after sales service. For sure, I will buy my next appliance from Aplan. (Deborah Camilleri)
I add my compliments to Aplan. Indeed, Aplan is one of the companies included in our list of companies who offer "no nonsense" guarantees.
I usually read your "on a positive note" in The Sunday Times.
I would like to add one regarding a Joe Vella of BMS Ltd. of Mdina Road, Qormi.
I bought an electric geyser from X-Tend Supplies of Old College Street, St Julian's on February 22, 2005. It was guaranteed for five years. Lately something went wrong with it and I had to have it changed. Unfortunately the agents, BMS Ltd, had run out of stock of the same geyser. X-Tend Supplies were only too willing to have it changed but in the meantime Mr Vella was instrumental in finding another geyser carrying a two-year guarantee and, through X-Tend Supplies (who were very obliging), had the old one replaced. Obviously, the new guarantee was changed to allow the one of five years run its full course.
I thought I must share my experience with you. It is gentlemen like these who must be emulated if we want to gain fair share of the market. (Harold W. Harris)
