A Nigerian national was yesterday jailed for six months for defiling two 17-year-old Danish girls and committing the crime during the operative time of a suspended jail term.

Peter Ohaka, 24, who resides in San Gwann, pleaded guilty to the charges during his arraignment on Monday evening. Magistrate Anthony Vella handed down judgment yesterday. He jailed Mr Ohaka for three months and ordered that the three-month suspended jail term be put into effect, bringing the total jail term to six months.

Police Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted.
