A Valletta resident parked her V-licensed car registered on a Gozo ID card in the remaining half of Strait Street which has recently been reserved for residents. She was given a parking ticket. The reason given was that the car is not registered on a Valletta address.

A number of people who have business outlets in Valletta but who live elsewhere have their ID cards registered on their Valletta business address. They are not residents of Valletta yet they have access to the fast dwindling parking spaces at the expense of real Valletta residents who live there 24/7.

The contraption in the photograph previously parked in Old Mint Street was recently parked in West Street, Valletta.

It did not get parking tickets. Would the Valletta local council please check on whose ID card it is registered?

Finally, would the local council please explain on what grounds were two parking spaces in Bakery Street reserved and for whom? Who or what is the resident?
