Sedqa, the agency against drug and alcohol abuse, and the youth section of the Catholic Action Movement highlighted the role and involvement of youths in society in a message to mark National Youth Day, celebrated today.

The agency appealed to youths to get involved in sports and the arts, and to find alternative leisure in order to develop their talents while leading a healthy lifestyle.

The movement said active youth participation was instrumental to influence decisions, even on a national level.

It also expressed solidarity with those youths who are going through difficult times for various reasons and encouraged them to seek the support of the various agencies working in their favour.
