United Nations Environment Programme executive director Klaus Toepfer will visit Malta between tomorrow and Wednesday.

Dr Toepfer, who is also the UN's deputy secretary general, is expected to end his diplomatic career shortly and will be awarded an honorary degree by the University of Malta for his work in the environment sector.

While in Malta Dr Toepfer will give a public lecture entitled Environment For Development on Tuesday at 6.15 p.m. at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
