Works are in progress to transform a grove known as Il-Mixtla ta' Bormla in Cospicua into a recreational pedestrian zone.

Minister of Resources and Infrastructure Ninu Zammit, said during a visit, the works were one of the projects in a series for the south of Malta.

The project, which is expected to cost over Lm250,000, is being carried out by workers from the Works and Services Section of the Ministry.

It consists of the construction of paths that will link open areas within the grove and will also have a fountain. Over 400 trees will be planted.
