HSBC changes euro base rate following ECB decision

Following the decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) to increase its rate by 0.25 per cent, HSBC Bank Malta has announced an increase in its euro base rate to 2.6 per cent.

This new rate, effective immediately, applies to all personal lending and commercial lending linked to the bank's euro base rate.

HSBC also confirmed that it continues to convert Maltese lira to euro at the Central Bank of Malta official rate of 42c9.
