A man has been conditionally discharged for a year for assaulting a Sliema local warden soon after the latter issued a ticket four years ago.

Alexander Vella, 34, of Siggiewi pleaded guilty to assaulting warden Daniel Briffa and damaging his equipment on March 9, 2002.

Police Inspector Frans Micallef prosecuted.
