An 18-year-old boy has been given an 18-month jail term suspended for three years after he admitted to setting fire to a vending machine last year.

Magistrate Saviour Demicoli heard the boy, who was a minor at the time, plead guilty to damaging the vending machine to the detriment of General Soft Drinks on October 16, 2005.
