The Entomological Society is making preparations for the European Moth Night organised by the Hungarian Entomological Society and the Entomological Society of Lucerne.

The three nights chosen for the European Moth Night are April 28, 29 and 30.

Details will be given in the next indoor activity at the National Museum of Natural History, Mdina to be held on April 8 at 3 p.m. Anyone wanting to participate is to contact the public relations officer of the society at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina or send an e-mail to: john.j.borg@gov. mt.

The principal aim of this activity is to collect scientific information on the species and abundance of moths during a particular period.

It is also aimed at bringing together lepidopterists and the public in appreciating the biodiversity and importance of the creatures in the eco system which are usually difficult to observe because of their nocturnal habits.
