Vocational training fair

Since vocational training is becoming increasingly important for the present dynamic labour market, MCAST together with the support of the European Union Programmes Unit (EUPU), the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise (MCCE) and the Federation of Industries (FOI) is organising a Vocational Training Exhibition. The main aims of this activity are to promote vocational training courses to the public, to increase awareness of the need of continuous vocational training to all age groups for the dynamic labour market and to engage with industry and provide the opportunity to collaborate with MCAST, Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) and Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS).

The event also aims to demonstrate and emphasise the link between training and industry, promote companies and organisations and to attract students into the respective sectors. The fair is being held until Sunday at the Trade Fair Grounds, Naxxar.

It is targeted at the public with emphasis on students finishing compulsory education and individuals who value life-long learning. Upper forms in secondary, state, Church and private schools are invited to visit the exhibition during school hours today. Information seminars and other activities are also being organised.

The fair opens from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4.30 to 8.30 p.m. today, and from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.
