And since when are these people demanding money instead of accepting any tips offered?
A few evenings ago was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I went out to see a play at Valletta. We arrived at 7.45 p.m. and parked in the car park adjacent to the Catholic Institute and the Granaries. An attendant asked us if we were to return by 8 p.m., as he'd be leaving by then! I didn't even bother to reply to him, and left the car parked there.
Also, since these attendants are demanding payment in advance (this wasn't the first time it happened to me) are they responsible for any thefts? And if they are authorised to work as attendants, does that mean that their sons and daughters can also work with them?
