The Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprise - GRTU has requested an immediate reduction in the surcharge levied on water and electricity bills.

Conducting a study on electricity charges and purchasing policies was desirable but not enough, it said. The government should at least withdraw its last surcharge increase.

SMEs and households should not be further burdened with these unjust increases, the GRTU insisted.
