The announcement of the long-promised park in Marsascala came as welcome surprise. It had been promised to the residents by the then Parliamentary Secretary for the Environment, Stanley Zammit in 1995.

I did find the timing of this announcement a bit odd, to say the least, and whether it comes as too little too late remains to be seen. My appeal goes out to whoever is elected to represent the interests of Marsascala, to set aside partisan pique and to participate fully to ensure that this project gets off the ground in the best interests of our village.
