Public lecture, weekend workshop on 'Spirituality in the workplace'

There has been an increasing interest recently in incorporating spirituality in management and at the place of work. In her book Spiritual Intelligence in the Workplace, management consultant Catherine McGeachy explores the reasons for such renewed interest and offers practical suggestions on how to bring it about.

Ms McGeachy, director of Vision Consultants Ltd in Ireland, has been invited to come to Malta to conduct a weekend workshop and to deliver a public lecture on the subject.

The lecture will be held on Thursday, March 16 from 6.30 to 8 p.m. at the University of Malta (M.A. Vassalli hall C - as you enter the New Gate).

The lecture, entitled 'Spirituality for Managers and Executives', is intended for all those in leadership positions in organisations. Its goal is to develop an awareness of the importance of spirituality at the workplace.

The weekend workshop will be held on Saturday and Sunday March 18 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Targa Gap, Mosta.

The workshop on 'Spirituality in the Workplace' is open to the public and will focus on how concretely to bring spirituality into our place of work. It will include input, a slide show, practical sessions in groups, self-assessment exercises and other activities.

There will be Mass on Sunday for those who wish.

Entrance for the public lecture is free of charge and no reservation is required.
