Lija centre

It Was said recently on a TV programme that the centre of Lija has become a by-pass, with traffic taking short cuts to reach other destinations.

Lija residents also have to put up with traffic contraventions, like heavy vehicles passing through restricted areas and other traffic not observing the signage during school hours.

On some occasions there is chaos in Ramiro Barbaro Street as traffic still comes up towards Triq il-Kbira, when this is not allowed. These contraventions have been reported to the local council but to date nothing seems to have been done.
