Joe Xuereb, of Ghajnsielem, is displaying his limestone sculptures at Montserrat Gallery in New York. He has also been invited by the art gallery's management to take part in their "Salon", after seeing his sculptural works on the Internet.

Montserrat Gallery has been in the art scene for around 20 years and is located in the new hub for art in Chelsea, New York. The gallery has achieved a reputation as one of Manhattan's most consistent and innovative exhibition spaces for artists from the US and abroad. Many discerning art collectors and art critics were drawn to the gallery for its stimulating painters, sculptors and artists working with various new media.

Xuereb has exhibited his works at Lincoln Centre in 1996 during a collective exhibition of Maltese art, held at the Fordham University terrace. In November 2005, he was also asked to carve a monumental sculpture (now exhibited permanently at the Gozo Ministry entrance) to commemorate the Duke of Edinburgh's official visit to Gozo.
