The Scout Association of Malta marked Founder's Day with an event at its island headquarters in Floriana.
During the evening, a film showing the early days of scouting and the life of the movement's founder was screened. Awards and decorations were presented to uniformed and non-uniformed members.
Founder's Day is celebrated on February 22 to commemorate the birthday of the founder Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell.
Scouting started in the UK in 1907 and came to Malta a year later, thus making the Scout Association of Malta one of the longest established in the world. Today's members number well over 28 million in 216 countries and territories.
